As we continue our urban sprawl throughout the world, developers and homeowners alike are looking for ways to improve the environment and our living situation. Green roofs, also refered to as eco-roofs, living roofs or oikosteges, provide several functions for a building. They can absorb rainwater, insulate a building and help lower urban temperatures. It also creates a habitat for wildlife - providing food and keeping nature in its harmonious cycle.
Here at Senga Desig, we've taken the idea of a green roof and incorporated it right into our office. Note the few number of steps and the simplicity of creating the roof - making it ideal for someone looking for an intermediate project.
