Recently our edible green roof at our home was discovered by Earth Garden Publications in Australia. Oh the power of the internet. My publisher (see my blogs there as well!) for Gardenwise Magazine was contacted for someone who was involved in green roofs so she pointed them to Senga Landsape Architecture.

This magazine called 'City Permaculture' focuses on permeaculture - or the growing of food and be self-sustainable on your own land - whether you have large property or an urban dweller. Permeaculture was first developed in Australia in the1980's and during my travels there over 10 years ago I witnessed first hand where the 'Ozzies' raise everything from Bees to 'Chooks' (aka Chickens) and even Lambs if they manage on their land!

Apparently edible green roofs - while popular in North America and Europe are new to Australia so they asked me to submit an article and how we created our roof. Here is the article as published 'Down Under' enjoy!
